Mary Herrera - May 09, 2013

Mary Madeline Herrera was born May 6, 1924, in Conejos County, Colo., to Simon and Adelina (Romero) Aragon.
As a young girl she attended grade school in Colorado. Mary’s life was lived between the states of Colorado and Nebraska. Mary was a long time resident of Imperial, Neb., where she moved to be near family.
Mary enjoyed the out-of-doors and loved gardening, and fishing. She was an active member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Mary passed away Sunday evening, May 5, 2013, at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home, Imperial. She was 89 years of age.
Survivors include son, Joe Garcia of Montrose, Colo.; daughter, Dorothy Olguin of Salt Lake City, Utah; son, Frank Garcia and wife, Ardis of Imperial, Neb.; son, Tom Garcia of Imperial, Neb.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brother, Alex Romero of Ogden, Utah; and sister, Rita Suazo, of Denver, Colo.
Mary was preceded in death by husbands, John Garcia, Lalo Serrano, Chris Herrera; son, Mike Garcia; daughter, Melody Serrano; and brother, John Romero.
Memorial services for Mary Herrera will be held Wednesday afternoon, May 8, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Imperial.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
No visitation, Mary chose cremation.
