Jason Drew Brown - April 09, 2009

Jason Drew Brown, formerly of McCook, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Lincoln. He was 31 years old.
Jason was born on Oct. 14, 1977 in Portland, Ore. to Dan R. and Susan Marie (Brown) Brown. He graduated from McCook High School in 1996. He entered the US Navy in 1997 and was honorably discharged in 1999.
Jason loved hunting, fishing and playing video games with his friends.
Preceding him in death was his maternal grandfather, Marion Brown.
Survivors include his mother, Susan and husband, David Matson, of McCook; father, Dan Brown and wife, Teresa, of Palisade; two sisters, Darlene and husband, Mark Brooks and their children, Taylor, MaKayla, Tyler and Tanner of Bartley and Melissa and husband, Thomas Cravey, and their children, BreAnna, Nicole and Steven of Imperial; step-sister, Donneil and husband, Greg Eng, and their children, Cassady and Cameron of North Platte; step-brothers, Barton Matson and Willie Matson and his children, Dawnaban, Cady, David and Neil of McCook; grandmothers, Lillian Brown of McCook and Elma Wilson of Portland, Ore.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service was held at Carpenter Breland Chapel on Friday, April 10, 2009, 10 a.m. with Terry McCorkle officiating.
Inurnment was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
