Nancy Tinkham - November 08, 2012

Nancy Anabel Tinkham was born to Leon and Ina Mae (Douglas) Hust on July 17, 1938 in Imperial, Neb. She attended school in Imperial and graduated from Chase County High School.
Nancy was united in marriage to Lawrence “Larry” Tinkham on Jan. 20, 1957 at the Methodist Church in Imperial, Neb. The couple lived briefly in Milford and Grant, Neb. before returning to the farm west of Imperial. Nancy kept busy as a mother and wife at home, but also impacted countless children as a preschool teacher at Rainbow Promise Preschool in Imperial for more than 16 years.
In addition to her work at home and the preschool, Nancy was also a 4-H leader, Girl Scout Leader and active in both the Imperial United Methodist Church and the Champion Community Church. She also enjoyed her children and their many activities, working in her yard and garden, growing flowers and planting trees.
Nancy passed away Tuesday morning at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home. She was 74 years old.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Christina Marie and Rebecca Lee; son, Steven Paul; and great grandson, Austin Francescato.
Survivors include husband, Larry Tinkham of Imperial, Neb.; son, Patrick and wife, Angela Tinkham of Colby, Kan.; daughters, Vickie and husband, Dale Oard, of Colby, Kan., Nina Sue and husband, Bill Hagemann, of Culbertson, Neb., Jennifer and husband, Dan Fosbinder, of Dickens, Neb., Barbara Maddux of Imperial, Neb.. Jane and husband, Travis Keith, of Culbertson, Neb., Kelcy and husband, Jeff Ruggles, of McCook, Neb.; sisters, Norma Surber of Imperial, Neb., Laurel Poland of Sargent, Neb.; 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and her countless Rainbow Promise grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much.
Memorial services for Nancy Tinkham will be held at 10:30 a.m. (MT) Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church of Imperial. Reverend Valera Heyenberk and Kent Swink will officiate.
Inurnment will follow at Chase Cemetery, rural Imperial.
There will be no visitation, Nancy chose cremation.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Champion Community Church or Rainbow Promise Preschool.
