Jim Skomp - July 05, 2012

Jim Skomp, former longtime resident of Grant, Neb., passed away Saturday morning, June 30, 2012, at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home in Imperial, Neb. Jim was 81 years of age.
Survivors include daughter, Sally Scherer and husband, Dan, of St. Charles, Mo.; son, Matt Skomp of Imperial, Neb.; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, Joe Skomp and wife, Irene, of Lyons, Ind. and John Skomp and wife, Ann, of Crawfordsville, Ind.; sisters, Janet Nybakke of Astoria, Ore. and Ruth Skomp of Portland, Ore.
Graveside services for Jim Skomp were held Tuesday morning, July 3, 2012, 10 a.m. at the Grant Cemetery, Grant, with Bob Brueggeman and Jim Howard officiating.

A memorial has been established to the West View Retirement Center, Grant, Neb.
