Lillian Wellman - July 14, 2011
Lillian Elizabeth Wellman, daughter of Roy and Margaret Barkman Trudell, was born Feb. 12, 1949 at Keene Valley, New York.
She was made God’s own child through Holy Baptism on April 17, 1949 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Malone, N.Y.
She grew up in Saranac Lake, N.Y. and graduated from The College of St. Rose, Albany, N.Y. with a B.A. in education.
She made public profession of her faith at Immanuel Lutheran, Barnhart, Mo. where she was also united in marriage to Keith Wellman on Aug. 6, 1973. This union God blessed with three children.
She was active in the parishes in which her husband served: Wilmot and Millbank, S.D.; Lexington, Mo.; Klickitat and Bingen, Wash.; and finally rural Wauneta, Neb. where they lived from 1999 to present.
She was called by her Savior, July 10, 2011 after 62 plus years of God’s grace.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Rebecca.
She leaves to rejoice in her salvation: husband, Pastor Keith Wellman, of rural Wauneta; two sons, Nathaniel Wellman of McCook, Neb., Paul Wellman of Minden, Neb.; granddaughter, Chloe Mitchell of Gibbon, Neb.; three sisters, Anne Trudell of Peterborough, Ontario, Jeanne Fischer of Jupiter, Fla., Carol Green of Baldwinsville, N.Y.; six brothers, Steve Trudell of Scotia, N.Y., Mark Trudell of Southington, Cont., Gerry Trudell of Gansevoort, N.Y., Phillip Trudell of South Attleboro, Maine, Paul Trudell of Augusta, Ga., Eric Trudell of Alaska; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Lillian Wellman will be held today, Thursday morning, July 14, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of rural Wauneta, with Pastor David Kahle officiating.
Interment will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Waco, Neb., Friday morning, July 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. (CT).
Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon, July 13, 2011 from 2:-6 p.m. at the funeral home in Imperial.
A memorial has been established to donor’s choice.
