Verneta Enfield - March 17, 2011

Verneta Mae Truitt Enfield, 91, died in her sleep Jan. 13, 2011, in Georgia.
She was born to Orvel and Florence Truitt on May 8, 1919, in Perkins County where she grew up, graduated, married and taught school.
Survivors include her sister, Lela Brandt of Imperial; two sons and their wives, Roger and Susan Enfield of Columbus, Ga., and Ronald and Diane Enfield of Cherry Hill, N.J.; three grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and friends.
She was married to Leon “Earl” Enfield for 70 years before he died a year ago. Others preceding her in death were brothers, Cleo and Glenn Truitt and a sister, Lois Alden.
A small memorial service will be held in Vancouver, Wash., in April with burial for both Verneta and Earl at Evergreen Memorial Gardens there.
