Goldie Smith - January 23, 2009

Goldie Smith, longtime resident of Champion, passed away Friday evening, Jan. 23, 2009, at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home, Imperial. She was 89 years of age.
Survivors include husband, Stan, of Imperial; son, Jim, and wife, Marla, of Ogallala, Neb.; son, Bill, and wife, Cindy, of Max, Neb.; son, Larry, and wife, Debbie, of Blue Springs, Mo.; 20 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Bill McCurry, and wife, Aggie, of Blue Springs, Mo.; and sister, Connie Borell, and husband, Jim, of Burns, Wyo.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at 10 a.m. (MT) at the Champion Community Center with Mitch Korf officiating.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at the Lake­view Cemetery, Champion, Neb.
A memorial has been established to the Champion Community Center.
No visitation, Goldie’s wishes were the donation of her body to the Nebraska State Anatomical Board at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Neb.
