Fern Peters - March 18, 2010

Fern Rosella Peters, the daughter of Stanley and Alice (Felton) Adamson, was born on April 28, 1912 on a farm near Angus, Neb.
She passed away on March 12, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Superior, Neb. at the age of 97 years, 10 months and 14 days.
Fern attended Eden school south of Wauneta, Neb.
She was baptized as a young lady in the Little Blue River near Angus, Neb., and was a member of the Nelson Church of Christ.
She was united in marriage to Forrest Peters on Aug. 15, 1932 in McCook, Neb. To this union were born three children.
Fern throughout her lifetime lived in the communities of Boulder, Colo.; Angus, Wauneta, Holdrege, Hastings and Nelson, all in Nebraska. She was a member of the Eden Sunshine Club and the Nelson Quilting Ladies. Her hobby was quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Forrest, on Jan. 6, 1996; son, Wayne; grandsons, Bob Peters, Donald Peters and Dirk Cain; three sisters, Florence Maris, Mildred Beezley and Lila Prior; and son-in-law, Elbert Filer.
Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis Yvonne Filer of Dacono, Colo., and Delores Friberg and husband, Ronald, of Nelson, Neb.; and daughter-in-law, Arlene Prince of Kimball, Neb.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. from the Klawitter-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Nelson, Neb. with Bro. Tom Reppart officiating.
Music was “In The Garden,” “Amazing Grace,” and “There Is A Place Of Quiet Rest,” with Stephanie Thayer as the soloist.
Pallbearers were Leonard Cain, Robert Friberg and Fred Kidder.
Honorary pallbearers were Gregory Bingham, Gregory Kidder and Michael Kidder.
Interment was in the Edgar Cemetery at Edgar, Neb.
