Mary Hinman - December 17, 2009

Mary Hinman, age 55, of Cozad, passed away on Nov. 24, 2009 at Cozad, Neb.
She was born on Aug. 13, 1954 to Alfred and Leota (Webster) Redden at Nebraska City, Neb.
Following high school, she lived in Penns Grove, N.J., Wichita, Kan. and Imperial.
She moved to Lexington in the early 1990’s where she met and married Stephen Hinman. The couple made their home in Lexington where Mary worked as a home health care provider; and later, a day care provider. The couple later moved to Cozad in 2006.
Mary was an outgoing person who loved to socialize. Among her hobbies were playing darts and shooting pool. She especially loved her dogs.
She was a member of the Eagles Club in Lexington.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Hinman of Cozad; parents, Alfred “Max” (Mary) Redden of North Platte and Leota Hunt of St. Francis, Kan.; two daughters, Amy (Will) McCaulley of Rock Springs, Wyo., Kerrie Bepristis of Lusk, Wyo.; four brothers, Alfred (Sharon) Redden, Jim (Robin) Redden and Fred Redden, all of North Platte, Carl Redden of Sutherland; sister, Bessie (Phil) Woodward of Gladstone, Mo.; five grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives including distant cousins in Chase County and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A memorial has been established in her memory.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009 at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with Albert Jesseph officiating.
