Ruth Decker - November 19, 2009

Ruth Annette Decker was born June 25, 1911, at Cedar Falls, Neb., one of 11 children to John and Fannie Fox. As a young girl, she attended grade school near Cedar Falls.
She was married on Jan. 6, 1932, to Loide Albert Decker, in Imperial, Neb. The couple settled in Wauneta where they made their home for many years.
Ruth passed away Tuesday night, Nov. 10, 2009, at the Heritage of Wauneta Nursing Home, Wauneta. She was 98 years of age.
Ruth had many hobbies including gardening and knitting.
Ruth is survived by grandson, Michael Decker, and wife, Rhonda, of Greeley, Colo.; grandson, Phillip Decker, and wife, Jacqueline, of Spring, Texas; five great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loide; son, Daryl Norman Decker and grandson, Jeffery Dean Decker.
Graveside services for Ruth were held Saturday morning, Nov. 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. MT at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta, with Pastor Judy Dye officiating.
A memorial has been established in Ruth’s memory.
Liewer Funeral Home of Wauneta was in charge of arrangements.
