Margie D. Ahrens-Pieper, age 80 of York, Neb., died Monday, Aug. 10, 2009 at York.
She was born Oct. 10, 1928 at York to Arthur and Beulah (Wright) Bredenkamp and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the LWML in York.
Margie was formerly a secretary with the Credit Bureau in York, a cook at Emmanuel-Faith Lutheran School in York and was also an accounting clerk at Cornerstone Bank. She also enjoyed traveling.
On April 17, 1949 she was married to Victor Ahrens at York. He preceded her in death in 1996. On Jan. 10, 2004 she was then married to Wayne Pieper at York.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne of York; her son, Terry Ahrens of North Platte, Neb.; and her daughter, Debra, and her husband, Jim Hill, of Bellevue, Neb.; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; stepdaughter, Kathryn DeSantiago of Seward; stepson, Jon and his wife, Stacey Pieper, of York; five step grandchildren; two step great grandsons; former sister-in-law, Pat Bredenkamp of York; and former brother-in-law, Robert Ahrens of Imperial.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2009 at Faith Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Allen Bergstraser officiating.
Burial was in York’s Greenwood Cemetery.
