Elisha ‘Bubba’ Sanchez - August 13, 2009
?Elisha Antonio (Bubba) Sanchez was born December 31, 1987, in Imperial, Neb. at the Chase County Community Hospital.
?Bubba was a typical Imperial kid, playing little league baseball, swimming in the summer, fishing, hunting, playing basketball and playing his guitar.
?He loved to watch Husker football and help family and friends and he also loved His Lord.
?He attended Imperial Grade School and Chase County High School. Bubba worked as a farm hand and laborer in the surrounding area and had just become a member of the local Eagles Club Board.
?He passed away Tuesday morning, August 4, at the Swedish Medical Center in Denver, Colo. He was 21 years of age.
?Survivors include his mother, Gloria Sanchez of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Rachel Haarberg of Tulsa, Okla.; brother, Nathaniel (Nate) Haarberg of Lincoln, Neb.; brother, Elijah Sanchez and wife, Kahla, of Wagner, Okla.; two nieces, Angelina and Jada; aunts, Ruth Haarberg of Moreno, Colo. and Mary Haarberg of Buena Vista, Colo.; uncles, Ron Haarberg and wife, Cheri, of Buena Vista, Colo. and Steven Haarberg of Buena Vista, Colo.
Interment was held Saturday, Aug. 8, at 9 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at the Crossroads Wesleyan Church in Imperial with Dirk Buffington officiating.
Soloist and guitarist was Kim Silvester.
?A memorial has been established in Bubba’s memory.
Liewer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
