Harvest going slower than expected PDF Print E-mail

This year’s wheat harvest is turning out to be later than normal. Frequent rains and higher-than-normal humidity levels have been keeping farmers out of the field or limiting their cutting time. Early reports indicate that this year’s crop could be a bumper crop with exceptional yields expected on dryland wheat. On Monday, Tyler Stanley was cutting on just their second field of wheat near Lamar. (Republican photo)
