Spring classes announced at Mid Plains PDF Print E-mail

    It’s time to register for college and community classes at Mid Plains Community College. In addition, a “3 for Free Scholarship” program is being offered for up to three credit hours.
    The “3 for Free Scholarship” applies for the spring semester. An applicant must not have completed a “for credit” class since Jan. 1, 2004. The scholarship is for tuition only. Students are responsible for general and course related fees, books and supplies.
    The course a student takes must begin before Jan. 16, 2009. Scholarship applications must be turned in by Jan. 16.
    Current high school students aren’t eligible for the program.
    To register, contact McCook Community College, North Platte Community College or the extended campuses at Imperial.

    Spring classes offered at the Imperial campus include Introduction to Psychology, Fitness for Living, Standard First Aid/CPR and Beginning Computer I and II.
    Community education classes include Telephone Techniques, Blogging, Sign Language for Children, Home Buyers Education Workshop and Red Cross Babysitting.
    In addition, there are over 30 on line classes, and Distance Learning classes of English, Speech, American History and Intro to Anthropology for school students.
    A free Adult Basic Education class will earn the student a GED. The informational meeting will be held Feb. 3, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at the Imperial campus.
