Two new events have be
en added to the Chase County Fair’s lineup this year. Both are guaranteed to draw crowds.
“Got Talent?” will be held Aug. 13 at 1 p.m. in the open air pavillion. The talent show is open to all ages, and “anything goes,” according to Sue Moore of KADL Radio, one of the sponsors.
“It’s kind of like ‘America’s Got Talent,’” she observed. Pet acts, singing, instrumentals, dancing, and any other acts will be accepted. There are no age or type categories.
A total of $1,500 in prizes will be awarded, including a trip that includes a choice of Las Vegas, Vail or other locations.

Contestants are asked to be ready to go by 12:30 p.m. the day of competition.

The Southwest Nebraska Ministerial Association is sponsoring the Orphan Grain Train Bratwurst Feed Aug. 12 from 5-7 p.m. near the old beef barn.
