Another great show; $1,700 still sought PDF Print E-mail

The weather for this year’s fireworks show, held on Friday, July 3, was just perfect, with not even a whisper of wind to drift the booming shells. In the photo above, the smoke from the shells remains suspended against the black sky. In the finale, the sky was awash with red as a multitude of shells exploded in succession to close out the show. Cost of this year’s show was $5,500 with $1,500 of that donated by the City of Imperial. Donations as of Wednesday were still about $1,700 short. Donations towards the cost of the show can still be made at the Imperial Republican office or the City of Imperial office.  (Republican photos)
