Fair truck show expected to be bigger; $1,000 top prize PDF Print E-mail

Melissa Markee and Eric Becker have teamed up again to organize the second annual “Smokin’ Chrome Truck Show” for the 2015 Chase County Fair.
The truck show will be held on Saturday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the Chase County Schools parking lot near the fairgrounds.
Judging will be people’s choice this year. The grand prize winner, chosen by the people, will receive a $1,000 grand prize. Second place will receive $500, third place $250 and there will be other items given away. There is no entry fee to join the show.
With the success of last year’s show, Markee and Becker expect 25-30 trucks this year.
Trucks can be registered on Friday between 3 and 6 p.m. at the Chase County Schools parking lot. All trucks must be registered by Saturday at noon.
The judging will take place on Saturday between 12 noon and 3 p.m. Awards will be announced at 4 p.m.
