Imperial’s newest city council member, Johna Jablonski, will take her oath of office and attend her first meeting Monday night.
Jablonski was appointed to replace Dave Fulton, who has moved from the community for employment.
Her swearing-in is just one of the agenda items at the council’s 6 p.m. meeting in the council chambers Monday. City Clerk/Administrator Jo Leyland said other agenda items may be added as the meeting nears
As of Tuesday morning, other agenda items for Monday’s meeting included:
A public hearing to receive comments regarding the application for liquor license by Tequila’s Restaurants Inc. Leyland said this is just a change of corporate name, but restaurant owners have to go through the State Liquor Control Commission process again.
Consider approval of the semi-annual report by the Citizen’s Advisory Committee.
Consider rescheduling the council’s regular meeting scheduled for Sept. 7, which falls on Labor Day.
Consider appointment to the Southwest Nebraska  Solid Waste Board to replace former council member Dave Fulton.
