Auditions this week for musical PDF Print E-mail
    Director Jeremy Vlasin has announced that auditions for “Big River,” the story of Huck Finn as originally written by Mark Twain, will be held today (Thursday) and Friday.
    Auditions will be held from 7-9 p.m. at the Chase County Schools auditorium.
    Vlasin said there are 10 principal parts, including the lead of Huck Finn, major rolls of the slave Jim and Tom Sawyer, and others.
    Those auditioning will be asked to sing scales to determine their voice range. They will also be asked to sing “America the Beautiful” and read some lines.
