Chris and Jamie Jussel are planning to take the former Twist ‘n Shake back in time. That is, they’re renaming it Sweden Creme as it was once known.
They’re also planning to offer hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, ice cream and more, as the former food establishment did.
The Jussels purchased the business March 4 because, Jamie said laughing, “We were crazy. I think the town needs a good hamburger joint and somewhere to get ice cream.”
Jamie, as a matter of fact, worked at Sweden Creme for three or four years about 20 years ago, for former owners Dick and Peggy Smith.
She plans to “live” at the business the first year, and is looking for a manager. Jamie is also in the process of hiring employees, and hopes to have 13-15 on the payroll.
As soon as she has employees and food, she said Sweden Creme will open in April.
Hours will be Monday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
