Hey kids—it’s your chance to be a news reporter PDF Print E-mail

The Imperial Republican

Students in grades 3-8 have the chance to show their skills as a reporter in The Imperial Republican’s “Be a Reporter Contest” now underway.
It’s the newspaper’s way of observing Newspapers in Education (NIE) Week to be held March 2-6.
By the March 2 deadline at 9 a.m., students are invited to submit a fact-based news story on any local happening, including school events. Entries should have the student’s name and grade level written on the back side of the entry.
A winner will be chosen in each grade level and will receive an Imperial Theatre pass with popcorn special as their prize.
Winning stories will be published in the Republican’s March 5 edition.
Contact Co-Publisher Lori Pankonin or ad rep Jana Pribbeno with questions at 308-882-4453.
