Students chosen for FFVF trip PDF Print E-mail

The essays have been submitted, the interviews are over and eight students haveĀ  been chosen for the Chase County Chapter of Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge (FFVF) trip.
The students and their sponsors will visit Washington, D.C. and attend a conference at the FFVF campus at Valley Forge, Pa., April 23-28. The purpose of the organization is to promote patriotism and knowledge of U.S. history.
The students were chosen following interviews Dec. 17. They are Paige Spady, Ma-Kenna Ketter, Mitsy Cardoso, Brian Burpo, Darin Knobbe, Michael Musgrove, Emma Bauerle and Makenna Wallin.
All are students at Chase County Schools. All high school students residing in Chase County are eligible for the trip.
Cardoso and Musgrove were awarded 80 percent scholarships, with Knobbe as alternate. The local chapter also contributes to the costs for the other students.
Judges for the interviews were Sheila Stromberger, Jacci Brown, Stephanie Stromberger and Cyndi Weiss.
Sponsors for the trip will be Dillon and Ashley Harchelroad.
