The seventh annual Imperial Chamber of Commerce Ag Technology Fair will be held Jan. 7 from 4-7 p.m. at the Imperial Eagles Club.
Chairman Chris Lee said the change in time and location is an effort by the Chamber to make the fair more available to more producers.
He said reservations are being taken for businesses and organizations wishing to have a booth at the fair.
The cost per exhibitor is $50 for Chamber members and $100 for non-members.
A special speaker will be on hand this year to speak about sales tax related to agricultural repairs and purchases.
Lee said Margaret Akin is a revenue educator at the Nebraska Department of Revenue. She will speak at 6 p.m.
Lee said he expects this “hot topic” to draw a large audience.
Akin has worked for the Department of Revenue for 13 years, serving as a revenue auditor, agent and working in taxpayer assistance.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming and has experience in real estate, mortgage servicing and municipal accounting.
Akin presents seminars across Nebraska, providing education on sales and use tax and income tax. She also provides training for businesses and tax preparers on Nebraska’s tax programs.
The Ag Technology Fair will include a light meal, provided by the Chamber.
