November Students of Month named PDF Print E-mail

The November Students of the Month at Chase County Schools are Paige Spady and Kevin Chavira. They will attend an Imperial Rotary Club lunch in January.
Spady, 18, is the daughter of Michelle and Mark Spady. She is on the honor roll and is a member of National Honor Society.
The senior has been a teachers’ aide, a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes for two years, has participated in speech and yearbook for one year each and choir, show choir and musicals for four years each.
She has also participated in one-act and three-act plays for three years each and was class vice president for four years.
Spady has played volleyball and basketball for four years, and will complete four years of track this spring.
She enjoys being with friends and family, taking care of her sisters and playing sports for fun.
Spady works at 509 Broadway, attends St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and plans to attend college after graduation, majoring in education and accounting. She has also been accepted to play volleyball at Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte.
Chavira, 17, is the son of Gabby and Reyes Chavira. He has been a teachers’ aide, and has participated in FFA for four years, serving as junior officer and this year as treasurer.
The senior played in band and jazz band for two years each, football for one year and basketball for four years.
Chavira is employed by Imperial Beef, attends St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and enjoys being with friends and team roping with his uncle.
He plans to attend college and major in agri-business.
