About 280 people are expected to attend the annual Chase County Schools Alumni Banquet May 23. That’s about the usual number, according to Alumni Association President Jeanette Munger.
Classes to be honored end in “9,” from 1939 to 2009, she noted.
“We’re looking forward to having them,” Munger said.
The day begins with a bus tour of the city, leaving CCS at 1 p.m. “It’s always well attended,” Munger said, “especially by those from out of town.”
Honor class pictures will be taken in the Longhorn gym beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The banquet, catered by Jack’s Country Cookin’, will be held in the commons area from 6-7:30 p.m.
Following the meal, classes have planned get-togethers for themselves. Munger said locations are:
1959—Imperial Country Club
1969—Enders Golf Course
1979—Cindy Lou’s BBQ
Questions and reservations, to be made before Wednesday, may be directed to Munger at (308) 882-5485.
“We’re looking forward to having a good time and getting everyone together,” Munger concluded.
Alumni Association officers are, besides Munger, Arlys Cupp as First Vice President; Marlon Kunnemann as Second Vice President; Joan Wenzlick as Historian; Nancy Terryberry as Secretary; and Jacque Banks as Treasurer.
