David Kahle, pastor of Imperial Zion Lutheran Church, will be the keynote speaker at Monday’s Memorial Day services at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Imperial.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Pastor Kahle served in 1990-91 in Desert Storm. His rank then was corporal, and he served as gunner for the Squadron Operations Officer on a Bradley fighting vehicle.
Imperial VFW Post 4688 is coordinating the Memorial Day services in honor of all fallen veterans, said Post Commander P.J. Pajerski.
He noted that flags at the grave-sites of all veterans buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery will be placed today (Thursday) at 5 p.m. All help in that effort will be appreciated, Pajerski said.
