A fundraiser benefit for Imperial Country Club employee Maggie Dill will be held Friday from 4-8 p.m at the golf course. Dill is undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
For a free will donation, people may enjoy golfing, a baked potato bar and a silent auction.
Auction items include a $945 Power Washer from AACE Wash Systems and items from 509 Broadway, The Color Box, Klassy Kreations, 31 Bags, Synergy Total Fitness, Koch Chiropractic Clinic and more.
A bilateral mastectomy was performed on Dill the end of June at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo.
She has been receiving chemotherapy every other week at Chase County Community Hospital, with her last treatment in the round scheduled for Sept. 24.
Dill said she will then have a new schedule of chemotherapy for eight to 12 weeks, followed by radiation.
Dill has medical insurance, but “I had a lot of bills before it kicked in paying” for her treatment.
Persons interested in donating to or helping with the benefit may call Mary Wilson at (308) 883-2871.
