Enders farm one site for UNL wheat plot meetings PDF Print E-mail
    Wheat producers will have several opportunities to assess new wheat varieties and get the latest information on winter wheat production practices during the 2009 University of Nebraska–Lincoln wheat plot meetings, said a UNL specialist.
    Starting June 15, the meetings will include presentations on such topics as most effective fallow period, variety selection, seeding dates and rates, seed treatments, drills and settings, nutrient and pest management, harvest practices and post-harvest weed management, said Bob Klein, western Nebraska crops specialist.
    Tours following the presentations will demonstrate new winter wheat varieties, experimental varieties and many of the varieties currently grown by producers.
    Meeting dates, local times and locations are as follows.
