The Imperial Credit Union has been serving customers at 517 Broadway for 15 years. To celebrate, employees will welcome the public at an open house Aug. 7.
Imperial Credit Union was opened by the Holyoke Credit Union Aug. 5, 1999.
Since that time, its assets have grown to $7,266,545 as of June 30. There are 863 members, all from Chase County.
The combined assets of the Imperial and Holyoke Credit Unions are $30,717,500.
Manager Teri Spady said there have been a number of changes in the services offered in the last 15 years.
The Credit Union is just like a bank, she said, with debit cards, an ATM machine, free checking, telephone and online banking, CDs, HSAs, IRAs, consumer loans and free online bill pay.
Besides Spady, employees are Twila Hansen, Linda Moser, Jill Mays and substitute Lynn Prosser.
Imperial Credit Union invites the public to a lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 7. Pulled pork sandwiches, salads and watermelon will be served.
In addition, cake will be served from 1-4 p.m., and drawings and giveaways will be held throughout the day.
Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
