Three break-ins in Imperial were reported to the Imperial Police Department on Saturday.
Police Chief Ryan Wisnieski said two garages were broken into in northeast Imperial on July 4-5 between 11:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next morning.
Also reported to police Saturday morning was a break-in and theft at the Campbell Park concession stand.
Wisnieski said the two garage break-ins appear to be related as they are located across the alley from each other. Garages owned by Duane Goff at 1430 Wellington and Ron Hegwood at 1445 Park each lost items in the break-ins.
A tool was used to pry open the garage at the Goffs’ residence, from which three satellite radios were stolen valued at about $250. Hegwoods lost a couple of gas cans and vehicles were rummaged through, the police chief said.
At Campbell Park, concession stand coordinator Jill Moline reported approximately 225 pieces of candy/candy bars were stolen, valued at over $200.
The police chief said anyone with information on any of the break-ins should call 308-882-4748.
