Pee Wee Black finishes 1-1 in week’s action PDF Print E-mail

Imperial Pee Wee Black finished 1-1 in a pair of games last week at Schroeder Park, defeating Benkelman on Friday and losing a one-point game to Hershey 2 last Wednesday.
Logan Jussel collected the win from the mound on Friday as he struck out five Benkelman batters, walked five and allowed three hits in Imperial’s 9-2 win.
Imperial players credited with hits were Brit Gockley, Trevor Peterson, Jussel, Bennett Bauerle, Tell Richardson, Ethan Clermont, Mason Nordhausen and Clay Meeske.
Last Wednesday, Black lost a close 11-10 game with Hershey 2, in a game full of bases on balls. Both teams combined for 29 walks in the four-inning game, cut short due to the time limit.
Peterson, Bauerle and Jussel combined for five strikeouts and five hits while walking 15 batters.
Mikael Kuhlmann had two singles in the game, while Peterson also singled.
This week, Imperial Black hosts Wauneta Wednesday at 6 p.m., then will travel to Paxton on Monday for a 7 p.m. MT contest.
