Even if you are not a green thumb-type person yourself, plan to take the Imperial Garden Tour this Saturday.
Six gardens and yards will be open to the public for viewing and ideas. They belong to Tim and Rhonda Sutherland, Scott and Toni Brophy, Doug and Judy Gaswick, Jim and Jan Graham, Dan and Jane Lenners and Neva Molzer.
This is the second year Adams Bank & Trust has sponsored the tour, which will be open from 8-11 a.m. Saturday.
Maps are now available at Adams Bank, and act as the entry ticket. They cost $5 per person.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Imperial Community Center.
Organizer Laura Gaschler is enthusiastic about the tour. Last year over 80 people took advantage of the morning to see formal gardens, gnomes’ homes, rows of roses, gardens shaded under trees, ponds and more.
Some of the owners will be on hand to discuss their ideas and techniques.
