The Chase County Fair parade committee has announced that Jeff and Connie Pribbeno of Imperial have been named the grand marshalls for the parade this year.
The Pribbenos were chosen as representatives of the theme for the parade, which is “Livin’ the Dream.”
Not only did they return to their home community after college, but their families contributed much to the rich history of the county.
The names Langenfeld, Stenger and Pribbeno have been associated with a ranch, a bank, an auto dealership, as well as in the arts and on many committees and in organizations, according to the parade committee.
In addition, Connie and Jeff Pribbeno have been associated with the Stenger-Pribbeno Ranch, Wine Glass Ranch, Open Country Adventures and Imperial Beef.
Connie Pribbeno was a longtime kindergarten teacher at both Champion and Imperial elementary schools. She also taught first and second grades in Champion.
The parade will be held Aug. 16. Entry forms will be printed in The Imperial Republican and will be available at area stores soon outlining categories and other details.
