Artwork receives awards at McCook competition PDF Print E-mail

The artwork of two Chase County Schools students received honors at McCook Community College’s annual paint-in exhibition competition April 11.
Holden Dreiling’s painting  “Hendrix” received Judge’s Choice in the painting division.
Andrea Hogsett’s “Birds” placed second in the mixed media division.
CCS high school art teacher Chelsea Zuege submitted artwork from about 20 students in the show. CCS has entered the competition every year since 2000, she said.
A Blue Hill High School student took home best of show honors from among the 200 pieces. Lindsey Hafer submitted a life-sized three-dimensional piece called “What Could Have Been.”
