Donation helps close gap on playground equipment fund-raising PDF Print E-mail
The gap between what has been raised and what needs to be raised for the new playground equipment in Imperial was considerably narrowed last week. Frenchman Valley Coop. donated $1,000 to the fund-raising, which was matched by Land O’Lakes, for a total of $2,000. A number of fund-raisers have been underway to provide the matching funds to a $10,000 Peter Kiewit Foundation grant the city received toward the $40,000 worth of equipment installed at Campbell Park and near the new swimming pool. A raffle is underway to support the fund-raising, with the grand prize being a 32-inch LCD television. Winners will be announced at the pool’s grand opening on Sunday, May 24. Check at the city office for raffle tickets. (Republican photo)
