Quilt show May 10 opens museum’s 2009 season PDF Print E-mail
The Chase County Historical Society will open its 2009 season at the Chase County Museum with a quilt show this Sunday and continuing on Sunday, May 17.
Members of the Quilt Guild will host the show and have invited Barbara Holtzman of Holyoke, Colo. to be the featured quilter.
Holtzman has participated in national quilt contests and has had a book published by the American Quilting Society. Her quilts will be on display both Sundays, and she will be present at the museum on May 17 to answer questions and give advice.
Anyone with a quilt they would like to display is encouraged to be a part of the show. The Quilt Guild will be hanging the quilts on May 9, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
Interested persons should be at the museum at that time to arrange for displaying their own quilts. For more information, contact Becky Spady at 882-5892.
Museum hours are 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on May 10 and May 17.
