Youths up to age 18 are invited to participate in the annual Lions youth talent contest, co-hosted by the Imperial and Grant Lions Clubs.
This year, the contest will be in Grant on Sunday, April 6, at the New Life Fellowship Church, 617 West 4th St. Start time will be 3 p.m.
Entry forms are now available at schools in both communities. In Imperial, they can also be picked up at The Imperial Republican office.
Youths can participate in both solo and group divisions by their age as of July 1, 2013.
Talent entries are limited to four minutes in length and can be any type of performance including vocal, instrumental, dance or drama.
Acts will be judged on degree of talent, perfection of performance and audience appeal. Prizes will be awarded.
There is no entry fee. Additional rules will be attached to the entry forms.
Entries are due April 2.
Winners at the local contest in Grant will advance on to the district contest in Alliance on Sunday, April 27. District winners will advance to the state contest during the Nebraska Lions Convention May 24 in Valentine.
Last year, the contest was held in Imperial. The two clubs alternate hosting the contest each year.
