Dr. Seuss remembered on 110th birthday PDF Print E-mail

First graders at Chase County Schools celebrated the 110th birthday of children’s author Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. On Monday, they were guests at the Lied Imperial Public Library, where they played a Seuss Stretchy Alphabet game, listened to a story and tasted “Cat in the Hat” parfaits. Geisel published 46 children’s books, often characterized by imaginative characters, rhyme and funny sayings. Library Director Beth Falla reads from one of Seuss’ popular books. (Courtesy photos)
