Chase County Schools science students placed first or second in all but one competition during a Science Olympiad meet in Ogallala Feb. 26.
Students from five high schools pitted their knowledge against each other in tests, lab activities and projects.
For instance, in a forensics project, someone had stolen a coin and the students had to figure out the culprit.
In another activity, they built a level out of wood that had to hold up to a certain amount of weight.
Teacher Kim Wilson said she is hoping to take some students to the state Science Olympiad in Lincoln March 29.
