Phillips County Arts Council to bring ABBA tribute to Holyoke next week PDF Print E-mail

Thank You for the Music, a modern tribute to ABBA, is set to take over the Holyoke (Colo.) High School auditorium next Friday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m.
The performance is part of the Phillips County Arts Council concert series and is a tribute to the Swedish pop super-group, ABBA. Four singers, two men and two women, loosely play the roles of the original ABBA which was made up of two married couples.
Powerful harmonies, high energy dance and the unforgettable hits of ABBA make this musical tribute one not to be missed.
“Dancing Queen,” “Waterloo,” “Take a Chance on Me,” “Fernando” and “Mamma Mia” will be among the songs heard in the nostalgic musical journey.
This show is said to be entertaining for adults and kids alike. Thank You for the Music will make the audience fall in love with ABBA all over again.
This show is not only a vocal review of the ABBA music, but is a scripted show with dialogue that moves the show from song to song. This makes it possible to highlight some of the more important aspects of the original quartet’s lives. It is all done in good humor with lots of laughs.
Audiences will delight in exciting modern re-interpretations of ABBA classics, as well as a wide array of musical arrangements that pay tribute to ABBA’s original sound.
The concert is open to the public. Tickets at the door will be $12.
