Four first place winners at Sunday’s Super Shooters basketball contest are moving on to the state competition.
Tristan Jablonski, Easton Fries, Mallie McNair and Taylor Jablonski all won their age divisions at the contest hosted by the Imperial Jaycees in the Longhorn gym.
In the contest, youths shoot from various spots on the floor, scoring points when making the basket. Each participant gets two one-minute runs with their best score used in the rankings. Boys and girls compete together in the same age divisions.
First, second and third place trophies were awarded by the Jaycees, which will also pay the entry fees for the first place winners at state. If the first place winner cannot attend, second place will be eligible to represent Imperial.
Here are the placings by age group and the contestant scores.
