One month after construction began, the Imperial Manor dining room’s new look was shown off.
Manor Director Melissa Larson said the $25,000 renovation project went smoothly and was completed for the Feb. 14 target date.
Manor employees replaced everything except the floor. The walls were dry walled, painted and had faux rocks attached to the bottom of the walls to simulate a “mountain resort-type theme,” Larson said.
A fireplace was installed on the south wall, with a mantle and hearth constructed from big logs.
A new ceiling was installed, with new light fixtures adding to the rustic look.
Employees also fashioned new table tops out of quartz countertops.
Talk around the tables Friday was that residents were pleased with the new look.
