    As the school year ends, so does the concert season for vocal and music performances.
    The first concert is the grade 5-8 band concert May 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. The fifth grade band will play “Castles and Kings,” “Liberty Bell Overture,” “Chorale and March” and “Chugah Overture.”
    Solos will be presented by Cheyane Kuhlmann, Michael Musgrove and Lorayna Lovejoy.
    The sixth grade band will play “The Sound of Music,”
Trombo Mambo,”  “Valiance” and “Spania.” Darin Knobbe will play an alto saxophone solo.
    The junior high band will play “Crystal City Overture,” “An American Celebration” and “Fan Fare March.”
    Solos will be by Trei Frier on tuba, Anna Bauerle on trumpet, Sam Haarberg on snare drum, Bethany Sorensen on trumpet and the 7th grade trumpet trio.
    On May 11 the high school  band will perform, playing “Encanto,” “Dialogues” and “Pacifica,” beginning at 7:30 p.m.
    District music solos will be performed by Mark Gaschler, Jacob Boggs, Kerry Swanson, Molly Strand and Morgan Strand.
    The Simply Jazz will perform “The Opener,” “Misty,” “Danger Zone,” and some fun rock tunes.
    On May 12 at 7:30 p.m., the 7-12 vocal concert will consist of the junior high choir performing tunes sung at the Cambridge contest, according to director Randy Hayes, as well as the high school choir performing songs sung at district contest.
    He said there will also be a boys ensemble, and a solo by Mark Gaschler.
    On May 15, the show choir will perform, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium, with “anything and everything” the show choir has performed this year, Hayes said.
    There will also be solos by students who have performed them at contests, he added.
    Grade school vocal concerts will be held May 18 at 7 p.m. for K-2 and May 19 at 7 p.m. for grades 3-5.
