Twenty-four people on nine teams fitted puzzle pieces together as fast as they could during the Lied Imperial Public Library’s fourth annual Jigsaw Puzzle Tournament last Saturday.
Winning the four person adult team division was “Puzzled,” or Melanie Carman, Breanna Carman, Elisha Honojosa and Lisa Fortkamp, with a time of one hour 55 minutes.
Winning the two person adult team division was “The Puzzlers,” or Rhonda Smith and Kristine Smith, with a time of two hours eight minutes.
Winning the intergenerational two person team division was “Siepeda,” or Annie Sieperda and Jodi Sieperda.
The winners receive a paid entry to next year’s tournament.
Others competing were “Grannies,” or Joan Wenzlick and Joyce Fortkamp; “Grandma Greats,” or Elna Johnson and Donna Winscot; “Great Grahams,” or Jan and Jim Graham; “Oscars’ Moms,” or Carolyn Lee and Neva Molzer; “The Ladies,” or Linda Nelson, Linsey Foote, Dianne Kuenne and Megan Wenzlick, and “One Piece Short of a Full Puzzle,” or Amber Grosbach, Tina Grosbach, Laura Gaschler and Mary Haarberg.
The two person teams comleted a 500 piece puzzle, while the four person teams completed a 1,000 piece puzzle.
