Head Wrestling Coach Matt Vlasin was a little disappointed in his team’s performance Saturday at the Chase County Wresling Invitational.
The boys looked flat and seemed to lack the intensity needed, said Vlasin.
Bryson Fisher was the top finisher with fourth place in the 138 pound weight class.
Adam Burpo and Hunter Dillan both got fifth place medals, while Austin White finished in sixth.
Khris Kuhlmann finished the day 0-2.
Even though the tournament had 15 teams in attendance, many of the brackets had to be dropped to eight-man for lack of competitors.
Sedgwick County dominated the tournament, scoring 217 points with the nearest team being Gordon-Rushville in second at 167.5.
The rest of the team scoring was: Cambridge 122, Sidney 107.5, Bridgeport 100, Dundy Co.-Stratton 99, Bayard 93.5, Ogallala 92, Hershey 50, Garden Co. 47, Chase Co. 45, Hitchcock Co. 38, Perkins Co. 30, Minatare 24 and Wauneta-Palisade 15.
