Christmas in the air at junior high concert PDF Print E-mail

The Chase County Schools auditorium was packed Dec. 17 for the grade 5-8 vocal and instrumental December Concert.
Leading off was a special ensemble, playing “Go Tell It On the Mountain.”
Following was the junior high concert band with “Star Spangled Banner,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” and “Deck the Halls.”
The fifth grade band played “Serenity,” “London Bridge,” “Jolly Old St. Nicholas,” “The Frog’s Song” and “Good King Wenceslas.”
The sixth grade band followed with “Christmas Cheer,”  “Santa’s Holiday Favorites” and “Merry Christmas.”
The junior high jazz band really jazzed it up with “Santa Rocks the House” and “Christmas Fantasy.”
Agnes Strand and Randy Hayes directed the groups.
Hayes also directed the junior high choir in “Sing to the Lord a Joyful Song,” “In Heavenly Love” and “Dream to Dream.”
The junior high show choir performed “Gettin’ Ready for Christmas.”
Both choirs were accompanied by Rob Browning.
