Home game cheering section gets louder PDF Print E-mail

It was a bit louder at Saturday’s basketball games helped by about 80 future cheerleaders who took part in a camp that day and then performed at the boys’ halftime. The Longhorn cheerleaders sponsored the camp, and each cheerleader taught and practiced a routine with specific age groups. Above, as the Longhorns are introduced, including senior Dan Sullivan (21), the youngsters and cheerleaders line up for a hand-slap. At bottom left, first grader Landree McNair has her pom-poms going during the pregame. Below left, cheerleader Charlie Carter performs with, from left, Hannah Meeske, Kora Weiss, Kamrie Dillan and Lindsey Mendenhall, while below right Claire Kuenne concludes a routine with her proteges (on lap) Krystal Smith, left, and Jill Pankonin, and Faith Hauxwell and Ella Colson in back.
