The cast of “Beyond Tolerance” from Chase County Schools will compete against five other schools in the Class C-1 one-act play competition in Norfolk today (Thursday) for a state title.
Having placed first at both the SPVA and district levels, the CCS cast is hopeful of a good showing at state.
CCS will go up against Ravenna, Homer, Louisville, Malcolm and Wisner-Pilger. CCS is the last school to compete today at 5:45 p.m. CT at the Johnny Carson Theatre in Norfolk.
The cast and crew, which numbers 35, left early Thursday morning and will return after midnight, Director Jill Bauerle estimated.
Wauneta-Palisade Schools’ entry “How to Kiss a Girl” also qualified for the state contest and was in competition in Class D-2 Wednesday.
