Costume parade a fun-filled time PDF Print E-mail

There were smiles, laughs and a few “Oooh, that’s scary” comments at the annual Halloween costume parade at Chase County Schools. Among the participants in the preschool to sixth grade event last Thursday was, above, first grader Shalissa Bigham, who needed room as she paraded as a peacock through the gym. At left, first grade teacher Mary Fortkamp and Batgirl Myla Brown watch with anticipation, as below left, second grade teacher Nancy Sorensen asks Navy Smith just what character he is supposed to be. Others from the community and preschoolers came in costume, too, including Amber Yaw and son Bodie, as Olive Oyl and Popeye. (Republican photos)
