Veterans Day will be observed on Monday, Nov. 11, and the school’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter is continuing its annual tradition of coordinating a special program.
The program will be held twice on Monday at 9:45 a.m. for high school students and again at 1 p.m. for the elementary grades. Both programs will be in the school auditorium.
Guest speaker will be Eldon Kuntzelman of Imperial, who served 24 years (1988-2012) with the U.S. Army National Guard.
Kuntzelman served 17 1/2 years with field artillery, and also served in Germany. He was stationed at Ft. Riley, Kan., in 2002-03 on a security mission, and served a year in Afghanistan, 2008-09, as part of an Ag Development Team that worked with Afghan farmers. He retired in 2012.
Also included in the FBLA program will be a video presentation and music.
All veterans and their spouses are invited to attend lunch at the school that day, said FBLA Advisor Sandy O’Neil.
